Chris Mbiti

Executive Director

Chris provides day to day leadership and management of PEN which includes programme design, implementation and ensuring accountability and reporting to the PEN board and stakeholders including the beneficiaries. He maintains liaisons with other CSO leaders, government and international development partners. He is an experienced development practitioner with over 16 years of experience having worked with both international and local NGOs in Kenya and Republic of Namibia.

Judith Ochieng Gondi

Finance & Administration Manager

Judith provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. She has extensive experience working with no-for-profit organizations (NPOs) to help them design, implement and strengthen their finance, human resource and administration systems. She has over 12 years of experience working with both local and international NPOs.

Judy Gachathi

Programme Administration Officer

Judy provides professional administration to PEN programmes and efficient logistical support to the PEN Board of Directors. She is also the overall coordinator of PMDC and is responsible for its business development to ensure the achievement of PMDC’s strategic goals. She has over 17 years working experience with Not-For-Profit as well as in the Educational sector in Kenya and the UK.

Anne Macharia Irara

Financial Compliance Officer                                            

Anne ensures the quality of financial reporting as well as organizational statutory compliance. She supports efforts of management to develop and implement sound financial and accounting systems. Anne is also a trainer in financial systems for both finance and non-finance personnel to Kenyan CSOs/ CBOs. She has over 8 years of experience in supporting Not-for-Profit finance and accounting while ensuring organizational statutory compliance.

Mary Kanini Mutuku

Project Officer

Mary provides support to projects that are geared towards strengthening citizen’s participation, food security and natural resources. She works with community groups and organizations by enhancing their capacity to design and implement integrated livelihood initiatives. She has over 11 years of experience in supporting projects that are geared to strengthening citizen’s participation and CSOs in various counties in Kenya.

Faith Alukwe Imbaali

Project Officer

Faith has over 5 years’ experience in project management and implementation in the areas of democracy and governance. She is involved in drawing up work plans, carrying out planned activities and drafting project reports. She is also responsible for liaising with key stakeholders (Civil Society Organizations & Networks, County Government) in her projects to identify areas of synergy and fruitful collaboration.

Ludivicus Omollo

Project Officer

Ludivicus is part of the programs team where he supports the strengthening of capacity of various County Civil Society Networks to engage other development actors at the county level. He also provides communication and fundraising support. He is a development practitioner with over three years of experience in programs, administration and communication support in the development sector and in government.

George Karanja

Program Associate - OD and Resource Mobilization

George is a development specialist with over 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations in the East African Region. He has coordinated community development programmes for various organizations.  He has also been involved in facilitating participatory assessments, development of capacity building and institutional strengthening plans.  George has also supported and mentored many organizations enabling them achieve positive outcomes in key result areas of institution strengthening, planning, programme development, governance and leadership development and fundraising.

Sammy Keter

Program Associate – Evaluation, Communication, Brand Specialist

Sammy is a social development specialist with over 20 years relevant working experience, 15 of these in senior management positions at country and international level. He plays an active role in the areas of programme management, research and development, monitoring, evaluation, learning and communication, resource mobilization and the development of quality assurance and marketing systems for Civil Society and private sector organizations.

Danson Kimeu

Office Assistant

Danson maintains office operations by receiving and distributing communications; picking-up and delivering items; serving customers while making sure office refreshment is available for the team at all times.
