Since inception PEN has been able to offer consultancy services to the Civil Society Organizations in Africa. It is committed to providing a cost effective service to help you achieve the impact and sustainability you need to make social change a reality.

Poverty Eradication Network has setup a consulting arm; PEN Management and Development Consultants (PMDC) which will continue the good work of providing capacity building skills to CSOs and private public institutions.

PMDC was registered in 2012 as a consultancy firm to be able to build on the experience and expertise of PEN in building the capacity of organizations and consolidate gains of PEN's success of its consultancy work over the years.

PMDC provides professional consultancy services to development partners working with their grantees as well as to national and local fee paying organizations.

Here is what our customers have to say;

"When IMLU approached PEN to support in developing a board policy, we presented you with a very difficult brief of a credible, readable and brief policy. We express our great gratitude for a job well done. Without your independent, knowledgeable and rigorous advice, I don't think we would have been able to produce such an excellent document. There is no doubt whatsoever that our appreciation of where we are as a board and our ability to go forward has been encouraged by the process that PEN took us through. The dedication and effort which you put into producing the board policy was above and beyond the call of duty. It would be no overstatement to say that of all the consultants we have dealt with, PEN's ability to see the issues and sensitivities from the client point of view while quite properly maintaining a professional and detached position was second to none. The board policy produced under pressure of very tight timescale was of excellent quality. It was a pleasure to work with PEN".

Moses Chege; Chair, Independent Medico Legal Unit - October 2012

PENs' input and guidance has been invaluable in finalising our Strategic Plan 2013-2015. We have managed to revise our strategy in line with result-based management practise and the outputs and outcomes look more measurable as outlined in our new log frame.

Nicholas Balongo - Kuruka Maisha Foundation Kenya (AFRICALIA Partner) - October 2012

"PEN has been versatile in managing and facilitating our Strategic planning process and challenging us to adapt our work to the changing context."

Wendy Erasmus ACD, Concern Worldwide Kenya - May 2012

"PEN consultants have been incredibly supportive of Kuona over the years and are always available for advice and brainstorming. They helped with our Strategic Plan and more recently an Organisational and a Human Resource review, leading to a whole new team at Kuona with a new outlook and a fresh approach to running the Trust".

Danda Jaroljmek; Director of Kuona Trust, Centre for Visual Arts from 2004-2012

"They provoked our minds towards self assessment of St. John Kenya as an organization and finally coming up with a National Strategic Plan Map. We particularly appreciate their positive assessments of the issues raised concerning the organization. We would highly recommend Poverty Eradication Network consultants to any other organization who wishes to benefit from their proficiency as St. John Ambulance Kenya".

Selinah J. Kibogy Kandie, CEO St. John Ambulance Kenya - 2011

"As the CEO of the Dhow Countries Music Academy (DCMA) as well as a board member of Busara Promotions, I have had the pleasure several times to work together with PEN for the sake of organizational development. The workshops were excellent, well prepared and very professionally managed and delivered. The consultancy had a great impact on the development of the organizations and helped staff and board members to grow in their roles. The level of expertise provided by PEN is very high. Furthermore all of the consultants are genuinely interested in the development of the organization and offered guidance and support well above and beyond their call of duty. I very highly recommend their service to anyone interested in receiving professional guidance and support for organizational development".

Hilda Kiel, CEO, Dhow Countries Musica Academy, Zanzibar
