Meet the Board

Dr. Samson Muttai (Chairman)
A veterinary surgeon by training and qualification. Dr. Muttai is an Ex Assistant Director with the Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC), Livestock division for over 16 years. He is also a retired Council Member of Egerton University.

 

 

John Mark Okondo (Treasurer)

Mr. John Mark Okondo worked for over 20 years in the Private sector, first as an auditor with Pannell Bell house Mwangi (Certified Public Accountants) and then as the Chief Accountant of Wellcome Kenya Limited, rising to the position of Company Secretary, Finance manager and Finally as the General manager of Wellcome Kenya Limited, in 1995 a position that he held until Wellcome Kenya Merged with Glaxo to form GlaxoWellcome Kenya Ltd and later merged with SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare Ltd to form GlaxoSmithKline Ltd in the year 2000. Mr. Okondo was then retained as the Finance director and Company secretary of the combined company working up to year 2004 when Mr. Okondo took early retirement to set up his own consulting firm Jemco Business Solutions Limited.

Mr. Okondo currently sits on the following company boards and Pension funds;Director of Pioneer Assurance Company Ltd;Trustee of Alexander Forbes Fund;Chairman Kenya Post Office Savings Bank Staff Retirement Benefits scheme;Director Sustainable Healthcare Foundation; and MD of Jemco Business Solutions Ltd.

 

Mr. Michael Cherwon (Member)
Director, Prodex

Certified Accountant by profession.  He is the Chairman of Trans-National Bank and Chairman, Central Bank of Kenya Staff Pension Fund.  He is a former director of CMA and has worked for Central Bank of Kenya in various departments including Director, Deposit Protection fund and Finance Department.  He is also a Commissioner and Chairman of Water Department, City council. Hehas attended various seminars and workshops.

 

 

 

 Caroline Mbindyo (Secretary)

A TV and Radio Producer with 15 years experience in TV and radio production. Runs an Event Management company. 
Ms Caroline Mbindyo is currently Vice Chair of the Kenya Film & TV Professional Assoc. (KFTPA).

 

 
 

 Mr. Caxton Munyoki Mwangangi (Member)

Mr. Munyoki is the current Chairman of Sunrays Solar Limited. He has vast experience working as a senior director in various private organisations such as Kenital Solar Ltd, Tracker group of Companies, Tana and Athi River Development Authority, he served as CEO at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), among others. He has also worked as a Business consultant in Strategy formulation and implementation, Marketing, PR and Risk Management. He holds the position of National Chairman for Kenya Security Industry Association (KSIA). Caxton is a PHD finalist and holds MBA in strategy. 

 

 

 

Resper Anyango Gogo  (Member)

Resper is a practising independent consultant with over thirty years of working life in private sector environment   starting in Finance to Human Resources, Logistics / Customer Service Management, Operations and General Management.

 

Prof. Elijah Biamah (Member)

Prof. Biamah is the current Principal of Chepkoilel Campus, part of Moi University in Eldoret. He is also Chairman of Kenya Coffee Research Foundation. Prof. Biamah is an International consultant to UN, NGOs and Government.   He has published widely and has over 11 years of government service, and more than 20 years with University teaching.  He is also an international consultant and travels widely throughout Africa.

 


George Nyakora (Member)
Director, Regional Training and Resource Centre, SOS-Kinderdof International/ Human Resource and Organizational Development Advisor East Africa. Mr. Nyakora was in June 2012 appointed as the president of the African Child Movement. Mr. Nyakora is a former director of the SOS emergency Relief programme for child Soldiers in Uganda.  He has a wide experience in working with the Not for Profit Sector throughout Africa and has also worked with ActionAid Kenya.
