Governance

Poverty Eradication Network (PEN) is governed board of directors that sets policies related to programming, geographic focus, investment, management, governance and professional standards, spending, external audits and compensation and performance reviews. The organization also has a process to regularly evaluate the performance of the board, board committees and individual board members.

The board plays an oversight role. This they do through their involvement in the two committees; Programs and Support & finance Services. Issues requiring further information for clarity are discussed at the committee level with recommendations shared with the main board who then makes the final decision.

The board committees have a chair who reports to the main board. Support and finance Services Sub Committee provides oversight on the financial management, human resources and administrative issues of the organisation while Programs Sub Committee provides oversight role on PENs strategy, programs and fundraising.
